Flash Back Friday. Aaliyah

Flash back Friday takes a look back at the beautiful and talented platinum R&B singer, dancer, and actress Aaliyah. She was the definition of perfection, with the voice of an angle, the beauty of a queen, and talent that already made her a superstar by the age of 22.

Aaliyah's precious life was taken at an early age due to a plane crash in 2001 after recording the video "Rock the Boat" in the Bahamas. Aaliyah was on her way to be the next mega-star. The talented singer, dancer, and actress also featured in the movie "Romeo Must Die" starring Jet-Li and also her own starred movie "Queen of the Dammed".

Aaliyah had numerous platinum and double platinum albums during her short career. We can argue that she was headed to be the next queen/princess of R&B. Aaliyah said her inspiration came from legendary artist such as Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige to name a few...

Aaliyah has also inspired a whole new generation of artist ranging from Rihanna, Ciara, Drake, Alicia Keys, and even J. Cole. It is sad to think that there will never be another Aaliyah.

In 1994, Aaliyah dropped her first album "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number"

In 1996, Aaliyah dropped her second album "One In A Million"

In 2001, Aaliyah dropped her third album "Aaliyah"

Aaliyah's album sales combined sold over 32 million copies world wide.
