Pittsburgh Steelers Youth Football

Summer is almost here and Steelers Youth Football is right around the corner. Bring your child out to participate in a never forgetting experience with the Pittsburgh Steelers where they can participate in fun football drills, meeting current and alumni Steelers, and also receive cool gear to take home. It is important to keep the youth active by playing outside for at least 60 minutes a day.

Mike Marchinsky, Marketing and Youth Football Manager of the Pittsburgh Steelers, runs these clinics and this guy is very passionate about Pittsburgh, our communities, and giving back to the youth.

Mike has taught me a lot about the sport industry as he continues to make a difference in these kids lives and put smiles on their faces. It is an honor to be apart of a program that means everything to these kids. I played wide receiver at Woodland Hills High School and in college at Tiffin University so Mike always lets me work the wide receivers drills. I always put emphasis on the importance of catching the football with your hands, and immediately tucking it away to secure that catch.

These kids have the time of their lives, especially when they are catching passes from Heath Miller or Charlie Batch! Personally, working with the kids feels more of a passion that an actual job for me.

The fact that I am teaching these kids to learn the proper techniques of football, how to properly catch a football, and actually see them begin to pick it up and learn...Means a lot to me.

One day after a youth camp at Slippery Rock, a kid approached me and said "You are the best wide receiver coach in the whole wide worldddd" It stuck with me and I will never forgot that little kids face. Things like that make you appreciate the opportunity to give back to kids who will someday grow up to become adults.
