Lebron James left Miami after winning two championships with Dwayne Wade to pursue his biggest goal, and that was to win a championship for his hometown state of Ohio. Lebron joined superstar Kyrie Iriving, with the addition of Jr. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers. These are 4 reasons why Lebron deserved the Finals MVP.

Reason 1. The removal of David Blatt
The Cavaliers took action during the 2016 season as David Griffin, General Manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers thought it was best for the team to release head coach David Blatt. There was clearly an absence of chemistry between Blatt and the Cavaliers. Questions rose throughout the season of why the Cavs were not playing to the best of their abilities.
The solution? Releasing Blatt and naming assistant coach Tyronn Lue as head coach for the rest of the 2016 season. We can assume that Lebron had a say in this decision as the Cavaliers were in desperate need of change if they wanted to win a championship for Cleveland.

Step 2. Sweet Revenge
In the 2015 NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Golden State Warriors because of the lack of support of the Lebron's teammates. A championship team needs every single player to come in and play their role. Last year, Kyrie Irving was injured the majority of the NBA Finals as Jr. Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Timofey Mozgoz all had career low scoring. Throughout the 2015 NBA Finals James averaged 35pts, 13 rebounds, and 8 assist but it was not enough to defeat the Golden State Warriors.

James took it upon himself and worked harder than he ever did in the off season to insure that he would achieve his promise to the state of Ohio, and that was winning a championship. What I noticed this year in the finals about Lebron is that he had the ball in his hands more. He has the ability to score one on one against any defender, pass out of a double team, pull up for the 3, or even take advantage of the post.

This creates a headache for a defense who needs to stop the best player in the NBA from heating up. With the return of a healthy Kyrie Irving, with the addition of Kevin Love, Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson, and Mo Williams in this year's finals, the Cavaliers were able to defeat arguably the best NBA team ever, who had a record setting season with of 73-9.
3. Lead by example

Lebron James is the best player in the NBA. There is nothing more encouraging than seeing James fired up after slamming down a powerful dunk with the And 1! James continued to lead by example throughout the playoffs as he chased down fast breaks for blocks off the back board, made crucial free throws, encouraged his teammates, and most of all recorded triple-double after triple-double after triple-double.

4. Simply Take Over
When the ball is in Lebron's hands, he is capable of scoring at will or dishing it for an assist. Throughout the finals, James average 29pts, 11 rebounds, and 8 assist. King James was in full effect, as the Cavaliers did something never done before in NBA basketball. They were able to win the NBA Finals after being down 3-1 in a series. Lebron now sits with 3 NBA Championships, 3 time Finals MVP, 12 time All-Star, and 4 time season MVP.
